I have been using the discreet tactical soft gun bags from Bulldog and MidwayUSA for years. The compact size is great for tight spaces, and yet there is room for plenty of gear. Most of us have more than one upper that shares a lower receiver, and you can actually fit two uppers in the lower compartment of these bags. The only problem is (or was, until now) stuff tends to bump into other stuff during handling. Enter the MSRx Bag Bumper!
There must always be contents in both the top and bottom sides of the center divider to ensure a tight package.
Not intended for use with the VISM discreet carbine case.
Our Bag Bumpers consist of closed cell polyethylene pipe insulation (1/2" wall thickness) along with a 1/16"x1-1/2" aluminum flat "spine" for rigidity. The ends are closed with durable abs snap rivets.
We have succsefully tested with most of the common gun oils and cleaning solvents.
To customize the fit, first locate your Bag Bumper on your gear as you would like it to be positioned.
Then "mark" the location that you would like the first bend to be, between your finger and thumb, as shown.
Place the Bag Bumper on a flat surface and bend sharply at the point that you marked it.
Flip it over and "mark" another spot that is approximately 2-1/2", depending on optic height, from the existing bend.
Once again, bend sharply until you have two parallel legs.
The modified "Z" bend is adequate for most situations, but Bag Bumpers can be formed into any shape necessary to protect your gear.
Slide the Bag Bumper into the case between your upper receivers, or whatever gear you wish to share space with.
Bag Bumpers are available in three standard lengths; 21" (for 22" bags), 27" (for 29" to 30" bags) and 33" (for up to 36" bags). If you need a size that is not addressed by our standard offerings let us know.
