Small Parts and Tools

The MSRx online store contains many small parts and tools that are germain to our mission.

Front Pivot Pins

We parkerize all of our carbon steel parts in house. Some manufactureres use other processes such as nitride, black oxide or cerakote. If you would your pivot pin to match the color of your CAM or Tite-Fix rear takedown pin, they are available in the online store.

Springs and Detents

These items have a tendency to launch themselves into orbit when working with takedown pins, buffer tubes and bolt stops...never to be found, so we keep a few on hand for just those situations.

Threaded Bolt Stop Pins

One of the many advantages of the Talon (coming soon) is an ability use the same lower for a variety of chamberings. The threaded bolt stop pin makes changeovers quick and easy.  Each comes with the appropriate hex wrench.

Drill and Tap Kit

If you wish to take advantage of the threaded bolt stop pin, but your lower receiver isn't threaded for such, we carry the extended (6") 6-32 tap and the appropriate extended drill bits (a #38 drill bit for the through hole, and a #36 drill bit for the tap) to make it possible.

First, drill the smaller (#38) hole (silver bit) through both sides of the bolt catch boss to make room for the pin shaft, then drill the larger (#36) hole (black bit) ONLY through the right side of the bolt catch boss for the pin threads. Drip a little lubricant on the tap and send it. Easy DIY!

Extra Power FP Spring

The firing pin spring that comes with most blowback 9mm bolt assemblies (top) are often lacking, especially when used with the forced reset triggers/safeties. Upgrading to an MSRx extra power FP spring (bottom) ensures that the firing pin will return rapidly to the rear of the channel, preventing it from "floating" when it comes to rapid fire.

Not for use with Foxtrot Mike 9mm bolts.

Buffer Parts

MSRx also inventories buffer spring pins, neoprene buffer weight spacers and buffer bumpers.

RTP Installation Tool Kit

Replacing the rear takedown pin has typically required the removal of the buffer tube, which requires specific tools and knowledge that not all shooters possess.  To make it easier, we developed the takedown pin installation tool kit. The detent pick and pin drift allow anybody to replace the rear takedown pin, and/or the front pivot pin with ease.
